The shoreline at Riviera Beach is one of the most popular places in Palm Beach County. The wide beach, white sand, and blue waters certainly lend to positive vibes and salt therapy. Directly in front of the Ritz-Carlton Condominium is an artificial reef, perfect for both novice snorkelers and seasoned divers. High Point Paddle Adventures offers guided paddleboard tours of the area as well as windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons. For the more intrepid, Adventure Watersports in Palm Beach Shores takes patrons parasailing in the ocean. Many Riviera Beach residents simply enjoy walking along the beach and fishing from the shoreline.

Residents need not travel far to find delicious eateries, swanky shops, premier golf courses, and cultural exhibitions, and entertainment venues. Nearby West Palm Beach is home to City Place, an open-air structure that boasts a movie theater, numerous restaurants and bars, retail shops and boutiques, and the Harriet Himmel Theater, a stage theater that features local screenplays and performances. Adjacent to City Place is the Kravis Performing Arts Center, a venue that features broadway performances, ballet and dance troupes, and well-known musicians.

Incorporated in 1922, Riviera Beach is home to approximately 30,000 people. Governed by its own municipality, the city hosts numerous activities and recreational sport leagues. In recent years, the city renamed its main one its main thoroughfares from “Old Dixie Highway” to “President Barack Obama Highway.”
